So.... What's the deal?

Not a fan of mundane chores? Don't want to spend six hours every Sunday washing and folding laundry? Me neither, I hate doing laundry. I do it... I need clean clothes right? But I can think of a hundred better ways to spend my day. So... What do I do? I drop my laundry off at one of those "Fluff & Fold" places here in town... we've got two places here that do a pretty good job. They charge about $2.25 per pound, So if I have 15-20 pounds of laundry each week (that's average, I have a washer and dryer at home and I usually wash my own towels... towels are heavy, and they are easy to fold so I do them like twice a week while I'm watching TV)... so 20 pounds is like two loads, that's at least two hours, if I figure my time is worth $20/hour... and I add in soaps, fabric softener, etc... It's almost the same as paying someone to do it. I charge an extra 0.25/pound... a quarter per pound. to pay myself to pick up and drop off your cleaned, folded laundry... Thats about $2.50 to come to your house, drop it off at the laundromat, check it in... then I pay myself another $2.50 to go back to the laundromat, pick it up, and deliver it back to you... I figure I can do at least six pick ups, or drop off an hour... so a solid $15 dollars an hour. (hopefully more with tips...) that is what I'm making with door dash right now... but by starting a laundry pick up and drop off service, I'll get to set my hours. Eventually, once I have enough customers (about 100 I think) I'll be able to negotiate premium laundry detergents, and fabric softeners, and hopefully a bonus based on the amount of additional business I bring in...That's the dream anyhow.
